Mary Anne Jacobs is the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council. A lifelong advocate for children and women, she is determined to bring girl issues to the forefront.
Transitioning as an executive in the telecommunications industry to the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Jacobs works to ensure every girl, throughout the Gateway Council sixteen-county footprint, has the opportunity to be a go-getter, innovator, risk taker and leader – all skills acquired through the Girl Scout program. She is a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors and is a graduate of the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2015. Jacobs is a member of the Westside Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. She is a Covenant Member of The Church of Eleven22 where she serves as a Deacon.
Jacobs was named one of the Fifty Most Influential People in South Carolina by the Columbia Business Journal and honored as a 2016 Women of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal.
She is a graduate of the distinguished Riley Institute Diversity Leadership Initiative at Furman University. Jacobs holds an MBA from Webster University and a BA in Psychology from West Virginia University. The Jacobs household includes Jeff, Mary Anne’s spouse and two adult children residing in the southeast.
