Northeast Business Council

The Northeast Council is focused on providing its members in Ponte Vedra and beyond networking opportunities, educational programs and to serve as an advocate for business.

Meet Chris Thompson, Northeast Business Council (NEBC) President
Chris Thompson has been a Financial Advisor serving our community for the last 18 years with Merrill Lynch and now Wells Fargo Advisors. Chris was President of the Northwest Council for 10 years in the 1990s and helped lead that council from 4 members to over 80. After being council president, he served on the Chamber Board as Chairman and most recently as the chairman of the Chamber's Economic Development Council (EDC).

Meetings: NEBC meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month (click for calendar).

Access to NEBC meetings and events are a Chamber membership benefit. No additional membership cost is required. The council is open to Chamber members living or conducting business in the Northeast area of St. Johns County.

Accomplishments:

• Initiated a name change to Northeast Business Council to better represent the expanding boundaries of the Council.
• Identified Ponte Vedra High School as a  community partner and supports the new International Business Academy.
• Established a relationship with the Beaches Division of the Jacksonville Chamber.
