The inaugural St. Johns County School District (SJCSD) Elementary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fair will be held at Palencia Elementary School (PES) on Saturday, May 18 from 1-5 p.m. Third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students from St. Johns County elementary schools will display projects demonstrating the practices of science. Presentations by National Geographic, Northrop Grumman and the St. Johns County Environmental Division will also take place. 

The Friends of A1A has produced six new videos designed to attract more cycling visitors to the 72-mile
Scenic & Historic A1A Coastal Byway that travels through St. Johns and Flagler counties and includes one
of the few routes in Northeast Florida in which bicyclists can cruise along the Atlantic Ocean and have a
direct view of the water.

Saint Augustine, FL - USA’s Premier Volleyball League (www.usapvl.com) and Rox Volleyball (www.roxvolleyball.com ) announce today the execution of a 3 year agreement, whereas Rox Volleyball, an industry leader in design and US made volleyball apparel, will be the official outfitter and licensed apparel provider for the professional teams in the Premier Volleyball League.

Out of 732 entries (630 art and 102 poems), the winners have been chosen from each category to have their entries published in the Betty Griffin House “2014 Day Without Violence Calendar”.

SJR State President Joe Pickens, J.D., and the District Board of Trustees were recently selected as the overall winner of a national awards program designed to recognize innovation and progressive practices among two-year colleges.

THE PLAYERS Championship is searching for volunteers to staff the Birdies for the Brave Patriots Outpost at The Players Championship. The outpost provides free food to military veterans and active service throughout the tournament. We need volunteers to check our guests into the tent. The only requirement is the volunteers must be computer competent as they will be typing down names and addresses into laptops at the event.
