Business Councils

Business Councils ensure the Chamber's ability to address the localized opportunities and challenges unique to each part of our county. Each of the six area business council holds regular meetings, has an elected board, and hosts a general membership made up exclusively of Chamber members with a professional or general interest in a particular geographically defined area.

Historic St. Augustine Area Council
Addresses issues within the historic district such as historic preservation, tourism and business growth.

Northeast Business Council
Focuses on economic development issues and acts as a liaison with the county government and staff. Through a partnership with a regional Chamber of Commerce, the council works to provide its members networking opportunities and educational programs.

South Beaches Business Council
Comprised of nearly 200 chamber member living or working in the South Beaches area. The council is characterized by their dedication to community efforts and advocacy for local business issues.

Small Business Council

The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Agricultural & Environmental Council
The purpose of the council is to promote, educate, and provide a forum within the Chamber’s structure to advance agricultural and environmental issues and show how these industries contribute to our quality of life.  Council programs will focus on our agricultural heritage and the economic contribution that this industry brings to the county.  Environmental programs will focus on promoting and addressing issues associated with our natural and environmental resources, sustainable development, permitting, conservation, and eco-tourism.

SJC Chamber Tourism & Hospitality Council
The goal of the new Chamber Hospitality & Tourism Council is to further enhance the abilities of our St. Johns County tourism businesses to provide first-class service to their visitors. The council aims to achieve this by being a resource for industry-specific training and educational opportunities.

Membership: Open to any member with a professional or general interest in the respective area.
