ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - For the fifth year in a row, St. Johns County is ranked #1 in Florida in Health Outcomes (measures of today’s health) and #1 in Health Factors (measures of tomorrow’s health) by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in the 2016 County Health Rankings report. This national study highlights the many factors that influence a community’s health. “Health Outcomes” use length of life and quality of life as standard measurements to describe a community’s health. “Health Factors” use various indicators that help determine our future health (i.e. factors that can ultimately make us sick or lead to an early death).

A delegation of business leaders from the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce participated in the annual Florida Chamber’s “Days at the Capitol” on January 13/14 in Tallahassee. Led by Chamber President/CEO Isabelle Rodriguez, the 8 delegates met with Northeast Florida legislators, Governor Scott’s senior staff, and the House and Senate Leadership to share the Chamber’s views on economic development, tax and transportation issues under consideration during this legislative session.
