The Economic Development Council (EDC) has been working for the economic growth of St. Johns County for over 20 years. Over this period the EDC:
Recruited more than 50 companies
Added more than 7,000 jobs
Assisted with total capital investment of over $650 million
The EDC, formerly known as the Committee of 100, was founded in 1982 as a department of the Chamber of Commerce. It has its own defined by-laws and dues structure. Individual Chamber members desirous of supporting the goals of the EDC are eligible for individual membership. Membership in the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce is a prerequisite to EDC membership.
