About Us

The Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) is the state agency responsible for maintaining the Intracoastal Waterway navigation channel in the 12 counties on the east coast of Florida. Our Federal partner is the US Army Corps of Engineers. Economic studies have determined that the Intracoastal Waterway supports over 100,000 direct jobs and is responsible for $15 billion dollars in annual economic output. The FIND governing board consists of 12 commissioners, one from each of the 12 counties appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate. FIND manages over 400 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway from the Georgia border to the Florida Keys. FIND also has a grant program that assists local governments improve the public access to the waterway by improving boat ramps, water taxi stops, fishing piers and other public facilities.
