As most employers realize, the number of employment-based complaints, charges and lawsuits filed by current or former employees have escalated rapidly in the past decade. Unfortunately, the bottom line for most companies is not whether, but rather when you’ll be faced with a legal issue involving an employee. The important thing is to take a proactive, preventive approach so you can minimize the likelihood of being sued. At Larizza Mediation & HR Consulting we can help your company with compliance training to minimize legal issues.

High Performance Work Teams Workshops
Larizza Mediation & HR Consulting, LLC has developed a Teamwork Training Program specifically for work groups who want to develop the key competencies of “high performance” work teams. In an era a fast paced change, heightening competition, and struggling to make the most of shrinking resources, developing the skills and behaviors of effective team work are essential for present and future success.
The Problem: Wasted energy, lost time, high frustration, costly rework; all typical symptoms in today’s work place. And the pressure to compete, and to provide high quality services that satisfy and maintain costumers’ satisfaction. At no other time has the need for effective and efficient processes like collaborative planning, problem solving and decision making been more acute.
One Solution: Teamwork: merging the skills, talents, knowledge and experience of all the key players to maximize the critical resources of time, budget, materials, and most importantly creative people. Successful work places today have found the great value of building strong, committed teams from individuals who create a shared vision, communicate effectively inside and outside of their group, clearly understand their roles and use efficient quality work tools to meet their goals, solve their problems, and follow through with high commitment. But teamwork requires new skills, new knowledge, and new experiences for groups to be successful. One key way to enhance success is by the process of team learning through team building.
Purpose: The purpose of this training is to enhance the awareness of the benefits of team work within each of the work group members, and to develop the essential team skills necessary for high performance and outstanding results.
Process: The entire work group (manager/supervisor, employees/associates, and any support members), meet for 8 consecutive three hour sessions to develop the essential building blocks of a high performance team:
- shared vision
- effective communication
- clarity of roles and responsibilities
- efficient work process and quality tools
These sessions are designed to provide the group with 24 hours of team learning and skill building to develop high performance and outstanding results. The training facilitator guides and coaches the team through job and non-job related activities which result in higher levels of performance awareness, skill development, and shared responsibility for outcomes. The entire process is easily understood, practical to apply, and conducted in a hands on, highly participatory learning environment. The teams create their learning plans for applying their development back to the work place.
Who should attend: This process is most effective when attended by -
- intact work groups or work teams
- long term project or planning teams
- cross functional process improvement or redesign teams
- ongoing management, leadership, steering teams
- any group interested in improving its team performance
Benefits: Groups that participate in this team development and team building will achieve the following benefits:
- higher sense of purpose and mission
- cohesiveness and group identity
- enhanced ability to communicate openly and honestly
