Dolly Parton's Imagination Library:
The Business Partners in Education (BPIE) Committee of the St. Johns County Chamber understands that proficient reading skills are an essential ingredient for success. With this in mind, BPIE, the Early Learning Coalition and the Education Foundation partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to provide children with their own library of books. Dolly's program seeks to instill a love for books and a passion for learning at an early age by giving children one book each month from birth until the age of five. The program's partners pay for the cost of books and postage, at an average cost of $30.00 per child each year. Only children born after May 1, 2008, are eligible for enrollment this year.
