Leadership St. Johns is a year-long program that focuses on the community including, their program days include: business, government, education, social services, law, art & culture and the environment.

Through education and networking,Leadership St. Johns provides valuable tools and experiences necessary to the development of well-rounded leaders. The community as a whole benefits from having business, government, education, and community leaders who are more knowledgeable about St. Johns County. The class term begins with a Leadership Retreat, followed by monthly sessions focused on different aspects of St. Johns County. Leadership St. Johns Alumni provide the support for the program and also administer the Youth Leadership St. Johns program for high school juniors.

Mission

Leadership St. Johns, a program of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, identifies, develops, and motivates individuals to act as catalysts for change to enhance the quality of life in our community. This program is dedicated to developing an increased awareness of life in St. Johns County for individuals in leadership positions or those aspiring to be future leaders.

Participants

|
Leadership St. Johns participants are selected through an annual application process, led by a selection committee of Leadership St. Johns alums. The average class size is about 20 and represents an array of skill sets and talent. Leadership St. Johns strives to create a diverse group of community leaders, from business, government, education and organizations throughout St. Johns County.

Commitment
|
|
Participants in Leadership St. Johns must commit to a high standard of attendance and participation in the retreat and program sessions. Absence from more than 12 hours of class time will result in termination from the program. In addition, each class is expected to plan and implement a community service project prior to their graduation.

Alumni Association
|
|
The Alumni Association is a group of post-graduates from Leadership St. Johns. Leadership St. Johns Alumni Association provides graduates with unique opportunities to better understand and improve their community by on-going education and by providing a platform for networking among alumni.
