Commercial Tax Growth
External Goal
Goal: Positively impact the commercial tax base in St. Johns County. A long term goal is to have Commercial property represent 25% of the total taxable value
Background: For the year 2009, the total taxable value of all Real Property in St. Johns County is $19,631,503,783. Commercial property (which consists of Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural) has a taxable value of $2,499,005,965, or 12.73% of the total.
Measurements:
Year 1 - The next report will be for the year ended 2010, therefore no action can be taken to impact this measurement. We will monitor this data and report it for informational purposes.
Year 3 – The data available at this time will be the 2012 report. Our goal will be to have Commercial property represent 13.25% of the taxable value.
Year 5 – The data available at this time will be the 2014 report. Our goal will be to have Commercial property represent 14.00% of the taxable value.
